Flat bottom cast iron potjie pots are perfect for using on grills outside or stovetops inside when you are placing on a flat surface in stead of directly on a camp fire.  This is a Size 3/4 Potjie Pot that holds 2 quarts (93 oz) and is 4 1/2 inches high. It is a wonderful size for baked beans as well as baking. Made of pure, food safe cast iron, it can go into the oven like a Dutch Oven too - it makes the most amazing, crusty loaf of bread!Our cast iron cauldrons have a pot belly shape, large mouth top for easy cooking and stirring, attached steel handle, and comes complete with the cast iron lid with deep lip for holding hot coals to use for baking and roasting in addition to cooking stews, beans and more. Made of pure cast iron with no pot-metal additives, is is carefully molded, polished, and pre-seasoned with oil to arrive ready to use.
